The Hellion is a high-speed raider built on a lightweight four-wheel chassis and considered a support unit. It is poorly protected and has a neosteel stock for high maneuverability. Hellions excel at lightning strikes and evasive maneuvering. They are capable of causing damage disproportionate to their size, especially against enemy infantry, thanks to their heavy hellflamers. This uses an outdated targeting system, which was later upgraded to improve tracking, although many Marines questioned how much it had improved. Additionally, the hellion's remarkable acceleration allows for improvisational tactics in the field. Some Hellion Drivers deliberately overtake their enemies, only to turn around and attack when they reach maximum range. The low cost, exceptional maneuverability and devastating firepower of these vehicles made them extremely popular among mercenary companies, many of whom modified them for quick escape. Star Craft.
